About this circuit
Gujarat packs extraordinary range into one circuit: Ahmedabad's UNESCO heritage old city, the vertiginous Statue of Unity, the alien white expanse of the Rann of Kutch, Asia's only wild lion habitat at Gir, the timeless Somnath Jyotirlinga, and the Krishna city of Dwarka on the Arabian Sea.
Significance
Gujarat is the only state with three UNESCO World Heritage Sites (Ahmedabad, Rani ki Vav, Champaner). The Rann of Kutch is the world's largest salt flat. Gir is the last refuge of the Asiatic lion, with only ~700 individuals remaining.
