About

The city of Mahalakshmi — one of the 108 Shakti Peethas. The 7th-century Mahalakshmi Temple is a Hemadpanthi masterpiece where sunlight strikes the idol at specific equinoxes. Kolhapur is also synonymous with handcrafted leather chappals, spicy Kolhapuri cuisine, and Maratha wrestling.
